This unique modular mirror comprises three panels painted in artist’s acrylic with a 4mm polished edge mirror, all mounted on oak. It was inspired by the American artist Ellsworth Kelly (1923 - 2015).
The four panels have no fixed arrangement; they may be configured as desired in many combinations. Use all four parts, or fewer, and you may change the order of the colours as you wish. Some examples are illustrated in the slide show but there are many more. Variants of this modular mirror may also be made to order - choose your own sizes, wood mounting and colours.
The square panels have split battens on all four sides and the mirror has two on the long and short sides. The painted panels can then be rotated, hanging square or as a diamond, while the mirrored panel can be in a landscape or portrait format. This greatly extends the possibilities as to how this work can be displayed. In effect, it not one mirror but many, and invites the owner to be creative.
