A mirror paired with a striped panel, each framed in solid beech wood. This unique work is designed to hang flush to the wall in differing configurations. The panel stripes were individually cut, hand painted and joined together. The paints are from the range by Farrow & Ball and the colours and composition of the panel refer to a painting by the American artist Gene Davis (1920 - 1985).
The two tray frames are constructed from solid beech wood, they are hand finished and feature walnut plug details on each corner. The 4mm mirror panel has polished edges and it, and the stripe panel fit snugly within the front of the frames. The face on these frames is only 6mm wide, giving this design a contemporary minimalist look. Each frame has four integral split battens on the reverse for secure and easy wall mounting. The battens also enable the panels to be displayed in various configurations.
This modular mirror is unique and is stamped and signed on the reverse.
Size each panel: 450 x 750 x 35mm. Mirror panel: 735 x 435mm. Not suitable for areas with high condensation.
