A shelf mirror in ash wood which demonstrates the versatility of this design concept. This shelf features four vibrant hand made Mexican tiles purchased from Milagros on Columbia Road, London. The coloured tiles are not fixed so their sequence can be arranged and changed as desired. The rebate of the frame has been painted in terracotta, this results in a reflected red line on the inside of the frame.
We can make custom versions of this shelf mirror using any tiles and in other woods and finishes. Here the solid ash wood frame and shelf was hand tinted with white stain and then given a lime wax finish. The moulding is 35mm on the face and 22mm deep. The mirror glass is our standard 4mm silvered float glass, however we can offer tinted or antiqued options too. The mirror frame is fitted with an integral split batten to enable easy, stable, flush wall mounting.
These shelf mirrors were specifically designed to display ceramics and glassware. The shelf is flush with the base of the shelf allowing the whole object to be seen. The shelf can be customised - choose the depth you would like. This shelf mirror is signed, stamped and dated on the reverse.
