after Stella no.1
This is the first in a proposed series of mirrors inspired by the American painter Frank Stella (1936 – 2024).
Here the frame is constructed in both oak and beechwood. There are also walnut corner plugs on the corners set on a diagonal. The face of the frame features hand painted strips in a spiral formation referencing Stella’s Hyena Stomp from 1962.
All the colours are by Farrow & Ball, Incarnadine red, Babouche yellow, Stiffkey Blue and the purple is Brinjal.
The 4mm mirror has polished edges and is set neatly within the frame flush to the top. Designed to hang in a portrait format, there are integral split battens at the top and bottom enabling the mirror to be displayed inverted if desired.
Size: 520 x 300 x 48mm. Weight 4kg. Not suitable for areas with high condensation.
Price: £890.00 inclusive. We can deliver at cost to any part of the UK mainland - contact us for a quotation.
